    At Newton KS Vacation Rentals, our journey began in 2023 with a simple goal: to create comfortable, welcoming places where families, travelers, and visitors can feel at home. As parents, we were looking for an income source that would allow us to be fully present for our children while building something meaningful for our family's future. Vacation rentals provided the perfect opportunity to combine entrepreneurship with full-time parenting.


    Today, we take pride in offering clean, well-equipped accommodations and exceptional guest experiences. Whether you're visiting Newton for business, family, or a weekend getaway, we're committed to making your stay comfortable, memorable, and stress-free.

          Who are we?

          Amy & Dorian Funk

          Amy grew up in Newton, KS. She works as a registered nurse at NMC Health in the operating room. In her free time, she enjoys time outdoors with family, traveling, and gardening.


          Dorian grew up in Plum Coulee, Manitoba, Canada. He has a passion for working with underprivileged and minority populations. Currently he is taking a break from traditional employment to be a full-time stay-at-home parent to our 3 kids (and host you!).


          We met in 2008 while volunteering in New Orleans to repair homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Following our wedding in 2011, we lived in Manitoba, Canada for many years. In 2022, we moved to Newton, KS to be closer to Amy’s family. 


          Our hosting adventure began with The Hidden Den Tiny House in 2023 and from there it has continued to grow. We find great joy in hosting people from all walks of life and enjoy hearing their stories.
